The Ferry’s!

Background on your Hosts:

Tom and Chandra Ferry are originally from Indianapolis, IN, and are both high school teachers here in Madison.

They met in college and ironically their paths recrossed later in life, and soon after married.

They have 3 adult daughters and look forward to being grandparents in the future– right now they have Grandpuppies!

They would come to visit Madison periodically throughout the years and just fell in love with the people, and the town. Finally, they decided it was time to take the plunge and move to their new home and enjoy the benefits of a small town and wonderful history.

They have always enjoyed meeting new and different people and wanted to share their home with others as they know the intrigue their home presents.

Their home has an amazing history and upon your arrival, they will walk you through the accommodations and share with you all the historical background!

You will even see some muscat shots in the interior and exterior stone from the 1800s, the original wood floors, and more!

The Cypress Grove Inn began in 2021. The name originated from the numerous Cypress trees located on the property. The property was formally a nursery, and the former owner designed all of the landscaped areas along with the Spring fed ponds fully stocked with fish.

Your hosts welcome you to fish if you wish— even take them home with you, or grill on the provided grill on the deck area.

The Cypress trees in the front row of the property were originally for the Belle Terra Casino. They asked the former owner to grow them, and they would return to retrieve and replant them at the new casino, but they never retrieved them. The trees that stand within the back pond are also Cypress Trees. They were planted there to help with the fish population.

The Ferrys are looking forward to continuing Cypress Grove Inn for years to come and hope to meet many new people from all over the world!
